Loughborough Lightning 58 vs 28 Team Northumbria

On the 3rd February Loughborough Lightning travelled to Gateshead to Play Team Northumbria. The Coaching Personnel decided to change the starting line up. The match started slowly with Lightning being ahead 8-6 first quarter. In the second quarter the defensive combination of Laura Brown and Sarah Penny in the circle along side Jade Clarke resulted in Northumbria scoring 6 goals. The attacking team of Charlotte O’Neill, Karen Atkinson, Lisa Stevenson and Alex Astle pushed the quarter score to 18 –6 and end the half 26-12.

In the second half Oliva Murphy, Vicky Percy and Gemma Wiseman took to the court. Gemma Wiseman replaced Lisa Stevenson at GA to make her debut playing along side experienced shooter Alex Astle. They increased the pace to win the quarter 19-7 (45-19)

In the final quarter the defensive combination was changed to Jo Munnion and Hannah Reid. Which further increased the margin to finish the quarter 13-9 and the final score 58 –28
