High 5 Event
Players from Lougbrough Lightning's Main and Devlopment squad gave up their time to help out with a Hi 5's Event that had been organised by Bolsover Distirct Council and East Midlands Regional Unit.
The event that took place last Thursday the 22nd February was part of a PESSCL programme that John Barker, Jenny Carter and Gareth Hart (Regional Manager for East Midlands) have come up with to promote and try and form a netball club in Bolsover. John Barker Partnership Development Manager for
Bolsover & District School Sport Partnership said that the kids in the bolsover area do not play much netball and this event would hopefully be the beginning of a new club in the area.
On the 22nd February 5 schools from the Bolsover and District area came to Loughborough University to compete in a High 5's Festival, the player were adopted by Loughbrough Lightning players who taught them new skills and then helped them to play in the High 5's tournament in the afternoon.
