Fundays
For those wanting a bit more Lightning in their lives, the Lightning team are running a variety of Fundays throughout the season. Having run mulitple Fundays in both Derby and Loughborough these days prove a recipe for success. Whether you’re looking to improve, want a bit more netball, or just want a fun day out these days could be for you.
Zambia
5 students from Loughborough University have been selected to head out to Zambia to coach football, basketball, volleyball and netball and to run HIV and Aids workshops to children aged 11-18 in the summer of 2011. In order to make this trip possible, the students have to raise around £15,000 throughout the year. Fundraising activities include fun runs, bucket collections, raffles, auctions and tea and coffee sales at Loughborough Lightning games.
